Eating good food is one of my favorite experiences, especially if doing so also means supporting Latine business owners. This is why I'm so excited about Latin Restaurant Weeks happening in Miami until October 18th.
During Latin Restaurant Weeks, you can explore some amazing restaurants, food trucks, and culinary spots offering irresistible specials. Whether it’s a prix fixe menu full of mouthwatering dishes or some sweet deals you can’t resist, it’s the perfect time to revisit a favorite place or try something new. Get ready to experience the rich diversity of Latin American cuisine, bite by bite, and enjoy what we like to call “¡Buen Provecho!” in your city!
Checking out the list of participating restaurants (which I included below) filled my heart with joy because I spotted several spots that I absolutely love and visit often like La Bodeguita, La Hormiga de Oro and Giardino. I am especially excited to try out the rest of the restaurants on the list that I haven't been to yet.
Sitting for a delicious meal that feels like home and tastes homemade is one of my favorite joys. Being able to do so while supporting fellow Latine business owners is a total vibe!
Jaguar Restaurant is one of the many restaurants participating. I had the pleasure of being invited to a Latin Restaurant Weeks activation where Feed the Soul Foundation presented a $10,000 grant to Autentica Taqueria for their amazing work supporting other restaurants through recovering from the impacts of the pandemic. If you're a restaurant owner, or know one, don't miss the upcoming culinary conference in January 2025 in Houston and be sure to apply for the $10,000 grant for your own business.
According to the National Restaurant Association, one in three restaurants won’t survive their first year. So when I find a restaurant going above and beyond to bring great service and delicious food, they have my support.
As a business owner watching others succeed in their business is thrilling and I feel like supporting fellow business owners in any way I can is a responsibility as an entrepreneur. It's so simple! A like, a share, a comment on their social media accounts. Shopping local, eating at privately owned restaurants over chains, sharing our favorite brands and businesses with our circle of friends and family. Spreading the word is easy and we can all do it.
Check out the list of participating restaurants in this year's Latin Restaurant Weeks!
Let me know which ones you end up visiting and how you liked them!
