Imagine traveling to prehistoric times to walk and fly amongst some of the greatest creatures of all time: dinosaurs!
This is exactly the experience that Jurassic VR Park at Miami Seaquarium offers Miami families until October 22! One of the coolest family events in Miami at the time. A thrilling, prehistoric journey with Tyrannosaurus, Brontosauruses, Velociraptors and Triceratops, among other colossal creatures.
“This is the most realistic VR experience of Jurassic ever created. It’s the first of its kind,” said Michael Margolis, Creator and Developer of Jurassic VR Park.
The comprehensive VR project took several years to plan. “I worked on the creative idea for six months, but stopped production due to the pandemic, and when we restarted it took almost two more years to build it,” Margolis said. “A company was hired to create the script, experienced designers were brought in to complete the complex task of making the dinosaurs come to life, and 28 programmers from various countries around the world worked a full year to provide the content and storyline.”
The result: “One of the most realistic VR attractions ever created around prehistoric times,” said Margolis. "Sensors on the VR vest vibrate every time a dinosaur runs or roars throughout the one-hour experience.”
First you get geared up – receiving a cool backpack, a snazzy vest with sensors, and some virtual reality goggles. Then, you'll get introduced to a friendly VR robot called "Evo" (short for "Evolution"). Evo's the trusty guide who'll take you on an exciting journey through a Jurassic jungle, where you'll get up close and personal with lifelike dinosaurs right in their natural habitat.
Once Evo gets everyone pumped and shares a sneak peek of what's in store, the adventure kicks off. First stop: the Holographic Room, where Evo teaches us how the world started and all those different types of dinosaurs from back in the day – how they lived, and, well, how they didn't make it.
Next up, it's off to the Jurassic VR Jungle, a lush and vibrant place filled with all sorts of plants, towering trees, an active volcano, and glistening waterfalls. It's like stepping into a prehistoric paradise!
And here's the grand finale – just like a true avatar, participants get to hop on top of a dinosaur for a ride. It's a front-row seat to the ancient world, and it's a memory that'll stick with you for ages.
