Nourish the Mind & Body With Acai Bowls From Island Sips

This week we're making acai bowls. Acai is a superfruit full of antioxidants. Acai bowls are jam packed with rich ingredients like the small yet mighty chia seed. You can choose to add whatever fruit you like to your acai bowl, but Island Sips likes to make their bowls gushing with super hydrating berries, kiwi and our potassium packed friend, that makes almost every fruit based recipe richer...the banana!



Build Your Base


To create an acai bowl rich in texture and flavor, you'll want to create a hydrating and flavorful base. Island Sips base is created with banana kiwi, berries and frozen acai. Acai does not have a very long shelf life, so frozen acai is going to be the best option. The Island Sips fruit selection has been intentionally created to flush the body with hydration.

Natural Sweetness


To sweeten up your bowl's base, add a dash of a natural sweetener. Modern society gives us so many options to choose from like agave, honey and date syrup. The variety of natural and safe sweeteners seem endless. Read labels to ensure it's natural.

Now you're going to let all those flavors mix up together for some sweet island flavored goodness. Oh and don't forget the ice to bring it altogether. This is going to be the perfect base for a hot day or if you get a kick out of food rich in color. Acai bowls are super simple to create, plus rich in color and texture.

Once you've created your base all that's left is to smooth her out and fill her up with some of your favorite whole food nutritious toppings and VOILA! You're done. Now get your mouth and mind prepared for energy out of this world.
