The Market Is Not Testing You. It's Testing the Offer | Go-To-Market Strategy for Women Entrepreneurs

Many entrepreneurs do not overbuild because they lack strategy. Sometimes we overbuild because evidence is emotionally expensive.

It is easier to tweak the website again, rebuild the offer, rethink the platform, perfect the branding, or spend another week preparing than it is to put the thing in front of an actual customer and let the market answer us.

Yes. Or no.

Because somewhere along the way, the business can become so tightly attached to our identity that testing the offer starts to feel like we are testing ourselves. And that changes how we build.

A quiet launch becomes evidence that maybe we are not good enough. A no feels like rejection instead of information. An offer that needs adjusting starts feeling like something is wrong with the founder.

So we keep building. Not always because the business needs more. Sometimes because we need more distance between our worth and the outcome.

Week Three inside Black Ambition’s Fundable Founders Learning Lab brought that into focus for me.

We spent time around go-to-market strategy, selling before overbuilding, and the idea of creating an irrationally passionate audience. That last one stayed with me and the go-to-market strategy for women entrepreneurs I like to lean into.

Because when I thought about FeelWell™, I did not immediately think about a product women would become obsessed with. I thought about ownership.

The women FeelWell™ is built for are already established. They are serious about their gifts, their time, their wealth, their energy, their businesses, their lives—and what they are here to create.

They want more. But they do not want to disappear underneath the weight of achieving it.

That realization shifted the question for me.

Not:

How do I get everybody to notice FeelWell™?

But:

Where are the women who already believe like this—and are looking for more women who do too?

That question changes everything. Who you speak to. What you build. What you stop building. What you test first. And what you finally give yourself permission to execute.

There is a point in business where more preparation stops being preparation. It becomes protection.

And this week reminded me that I do not want to build FeelWell™ from protection. I want to build it from evidence. From ownership. From curiosity. From women who already know they are here to build something—and have decided they want to build it well.

The rest of what Week Three brought up for me goes deeper than go-to-market strategy. It got into permission, accountability, curiosity, and the uncomfortable relationship between what we already know and what we are actually willing to execute.

That conversation is in the video.

Building Well is my 10-week founder series taking you inside my experience in Black Ambition’s Fundable Founders Learning Lab facilitated by Codenr & Co. as I grow FeelWell™ without drowning under the weight of what I’m building.
